The first step in the process of costing a job is to get together all the costs; these are

Machines to be used - their make and model, no of hours

Provide details on the number of employees that will be used, their hourly rate, hours worked and non-taxable allowance

Provide the number of vehicles to be used - mileage, fuel

How many chainsaws will be needed

Provide expected volumes - be realistic
